Hi,

First congrats on your new design and breakdown of Cllrs - really impressed.

Thought I should mention that Gary Fuller (Folkestone Town Council, Lib Dem) is listed on all pages (Tweeps, Councils, Lib Dem) with the wrong username (garrymarkfuller rather than garymarkfuller) - if you could alter, that would be great!

Finally, I’m sure you’ve considered publishing a page showing all Tweets from Tweeps? Using something like a Yahoo pipe, you could merge all Tweeps Tweets to a single RSS feed, and then display that RSS feed on the site.

I’ve put a small scale (8 feed) version of that in place at http://www.shepwaylibdems.org.uk/pages/shepwaytwitter.html as an example. I’m sure you were already doing it / had ruled it out for some reason, but just thought I’d mention it!

Hi Tim,

Thanks for pointing out the mistake - I’ll get that fixed ASAP.

We have been looking at providing an RSS feed for all the councillors - it is one of the items on our feature list. I hope to have some news about this soon!

Looking good and getting better.
You don’t have my website listed on my details though.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the comment. We’ve still got a few more developments planned over the next few months, so keep checking back.

I’ve just added your website to your profile. If you notice any other details we’re missing, let us know!

Winchester City Council now has a Twitter account - WinchesterCity. It would be great if you could add it. This site is such a great resourse!

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for this - I’ll get it added today. :-)

Hi there, thanks for all the good work! Just noticed there’s a rogue “a” in the website information you’ve listed for me - should be http://www.iainlindley.co.uk

If you could correct it when you have a moment that would be much appreciated. :-)

Kind regards,

Iain

Is there a reason why Exeter City Council is not listed? thanks

26 March 2009

David Spender not David Spencer!! So that’s dspender on Twitter not dspencer.

Cheers,

David

Purely that we have not been told of, or identified any, councillors from Exeter who are on Twitter. If you know any let us know and we’ll add them on as soon as possible.

Sorry, this has been corrected.

I am a Conservative and sit on South Holland District Council and Lincolnshire County Council.

I have been twittering for a while now, but came across Cllr Tweeps at a Lincolnshire County Council IT workshop through one of the presenters, a fellow councillor on your site, Richard Davies.

Please add me to your site and well done for setting the site up.

woodstocklabour now has a new web address !

Hi there - just to update your London Borough of Hillingdon list, Scott Digby’s Twitter account is in fact @northwoodcllr and not the one you have listed.

Otherwise, very useful site, thank you!

Why do the big three parties get a link in the top navigation, but not independents, Greens, or any others? Don’t the big parties have enough advantages already?

26 March 2009

It is largely a question of space (we don’t have room to list every party in the main navigation bar) and also volume. We are listing over 100 councillors for the main three parties, but the next biggest ‘group’ are the independents with 14. It wouldn’t make much main navigation listings for all the parties - for the English Democrats and Respect it would be a listing for their sole tweeting councillors.
